About Ren
Ren Davy is the pen name of author, Darren Butler.
Born in Hammersmith, London, he grew up in Yeovil, Somerset, and dreamed of being a bestselling novelist from about the age of ten. Upon leaving school he created a role for himself as perhaps Britain’s most incompetent and unhappiest bank clerk before quickly stepping into a career in architecture, which he was much better at. He never forgot his first calling, though, and continued to write.
A passionate environmentalist, The Yesterday Girl Origins is his first published work, and forms the basis of an exciting new series featuring Bobbie Raison, a young woman raised with the sole purpose of undoing the ultimate climate catastrophe.
Ren (or Darren) lives in a village in Dorset, on the south coast of England with his wife. He enjoys classical and folk music, films, meditation, and stories about UFOs, ghosts, and the unexplained. He would love a dog, but isn't allowed one.
